As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 246 people, 96 households, and 71 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,424.3 people per square mile (558.7/km²). There were 112 housing units at an average density of 648.5 per square mile (254.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.90% White, 2.44% African American, 0.41% Native American, 3.25% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.66% of the population.
There were 96 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.2% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
